Q: Can we arrange a meeting to talk over our requirements and see some real weddings and recent wedding albums?

Yes, of course. We advise all couples to meet your potential wedding photographers so that what you see on their website is what you will get in reality. We will show you real past weddings in wedding albums. We will also answer any of your questions and give you practical advice

Q: Are there any additional costs such as VAT that need to be added to the wedding photography packages?

There are no hidden costs such as VAT. The wedding prices quoted are what you pay.

Q: Can we print and use the wedding photos as we want to? Who owns the copyright?

Yes, you can print and use the wedding photos as you want to. We do own the copyright for the pictures we take, so that if they were used for commercial purposes then we would be entitled to recognition e.g. ‘wedding photos by richard sena photography' or an image usage payment.

Q: What happens if your photography equipment fails on the day?

If any of our equipment was to fail, which is rare but can happen, we have top of the range back up cameras and flash units.

Q: Do you charge travel expenses?

No, we don’t charge travel expenses unless the distance is over 60 miles, then we charge 40 pence mile, or if parking is prohibitively expensive.

Q: Will you check out our wedding venue(s) beforehand?

Yes, we aim to visit wedding venues in advance, either by ourselves or with our wedding couples. We try to keep the visit as close to the wedding day as possible so that we can assess the conditions as they will be on the day (are there any obstructions to avoid etc). If we can't make a visit beforehand then we arrive at the wedding venue(s) earlier on that day.

Q: Why are there some wedding photography websites that are a lot cheaper than you?

The old adage of 'you get what you pay for' applies here. As always, if in your research something looks too good to be true, then it possibly is. You should be careful to check everything out before committing yourself. Lots of people are now designing passable websites and selling themselves as full time professional wedding photographers. Unfortunately you'll only find out later when they either don't turn up at your wedding or when they present you with substandard wedding photos. As full time professional wedding photographers with over 16 years experience between us, we have covered hundreds of wedding at all manner of wedding venues and in all sorts of conditions. As well as having top of the range camera equipment we are also full insured.

Q: How long do you take to do the group wedding photos? We have been to weddings where they take ages.

We aim to complete the group wedding photos within about 20 minutes dependent on the number of group shots you request and the prevailing weather conditions. We recommend that you don't exceed 15 group shots.

Q: How many final finished wedding pictures can we expect to see?

The number of wedding pictures we will present to you depends on the set up of your wedding day. The weather conditions, the travel time from the wedding service venue to the wedding reception venue (if different), the number of people at your wedding and the number of photographers (either one of us or both of us) will all have a bearing. As a rule we present from around 200 to 800 final images.

Q: How long after our wedding will the pictures be ready to see?

We take around two working weeks to edit all your wedding photographs ready to upload into your password protected portfolio.

Q: Do we select the images for our wedding album and then do you design it? Will we see proofs before it's printed?

Yes, you select the pictures you want in your album and we then design it in house. For luxury albums you get to see a PDF proof before the album goes to print.

Q: We have heard of the term reportage wedding photography being used a lot. What does it mean?

Reportage wedding photography refers to a natural flowing style of photography where we capture the unfolding of your wedding day as it happens with minimal interference. Naturally there are some shots that are set up such as the group wedding pictures, confetti throwing, cake cutting etc

Q: We are also thinking of some portrait photography. Do you cover that as well as wedding photography?

Yes, we cover all forms of portrait photography such as family portraits, pregnancy photography, baby photography, pet photography and corporate head shot photos.
Plus event photography such as office parties, prom balls, birthdays, christenings etc.
